Back when BLACKWATER was just a gleam in Casey's pipedreams.

We have all watched horrified and amazed at the bravery of the average Egyption as they confront their government and demand democracy from a despot who has ruled with terror and bloody hands.
We see the average egyptian summon the courage to confront the armed thugs of a relentless tyrant. A tyrant with the bloody hands of America's favorite torturer. America has used Egypt as it's partner in pain, to do the dirty work providing what Ollie North called "plausible deniability". The secret rendition planes landed in Egypt so the questioning and the stress positions could be further enhanced.
I got a message from a friend with roots in the eastern Mediterranean, who asked this question. Shouldn' we demand an apology from those who explained the invasion occupation of Iraq was the only way to save the Iraqi people from Sadam the terrible's reign of terror
Maybe a massive invasion wasn't necessary, maybe the deaths of hundreds of thousands of men women and children, the unleashing of countless tonnes of explosives and radioactive heavy shells whose poisons wil destroy and destroy for decades. Maybe that wasn't the only way to remove the despot Sadam.
Maybe the people of Egypt are showing us that the iron rule of a tyrant can be overcome by carpenters and professors, and street venders, ending the bloody reign of Hosni Mubarak and thwarting the will of the nation that outspends every other counry on the planet, not in healthcare for it's people, but in military armaments. Armaments that are useless against shopkeepers, and book sellers and fish peddlers in the streets of Cairo and Freedom Square.
Maybe liberation doesn't require the BIGGEST EMBASSY in the world and the efforts of Blackwater/Xe? I think my friend has a point.
Negron's bill, Senate Bill 402, would eliminate provisions that allow counties to establish waiting periods between the purchase and delivery of a handgun.
Florida has a three-day waiting period on the purchase of a handgun from a retail establishment. However, those with concealed weapons permits — as well as those trading in another handgun — are exempt from the waiting period.
Does that work for the UNREAD PATRIOT ACT TOO? Shall our legislators have passed that first without proper notice and cavort while we reap the foolishness and damage for decades on?
If we can lavish our taxpayers dollars protecting Saudi Princes, Central American demagogues, and all the good civilized peoples of Europe and Asia can't we spend a penny or two on grandma's care?
We wave our magic wands of tax dollars to protect Koreans, Germans, the French and Japanese with such explosive expenditures as "liberated" Iraq and labor so noisily assisting the Pakistanis toward a nobler governance.
Can't we send little Suzy to the dentist? Can I opt out of blowing up Yemenis? Can I decline the honor of exploding the ancient sites of Afghanistan and Kurdistan? Where little else, but the opium trade thrives...
But no, you say, we can ill afford, healthcare, and libraries or college for young people who seek it for betterment. Yet it seems we will rush to fund HIGH EXPLOSIVES. No odd wizardry of weapons seem out of reach.
This odd coinage, this most loathsome and pernicious investment in the toys of massive death, why?

David has visited Bradley for more than
five months at Quantico, and I drovehim there once before. But this time, we were detained for more than two hours as Marines
